Born in Totnes, some years ago (a lady never talks about her age), I spent a couple of years at college doing a foundation course in fine art and printmaking, before being sent off to “do something more useful”. I took up watercolour painting about 8 years ago; prior to this I had spend a number of years working with stained glass. Whilst glass is a wonderful material to work with, painting allows me the freedom to capture a scene in a way that glass cannot.

I paint what takes my fancy, but find myself drawn towards moor land and open landscapes, especially Dartmoor and the Cornish coast.
